Some Fantastic Donors

Thinking back on our amazing friends who have helped us in our preparation to travel to Scotland brings to mind two very special donors. The first is the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden along with the Weed Kiwanis for their support. By far our largest group donor, and some very special friends. The second is an amazing lady who is soon to have her 100th birthday, Georgina Burns from Central Point Oregon. We hope to be able to come play for her birthday when we return from Scotland. Such a generous gift! We will be mentioning other donors in the future, but felt these two needed mentioning before we leave. Thank you for helping to make our dream come true.

Special Donations in our final week

Special thank yous: We would like to thank Erda Flemming, Archer Pugh, Brian Van Voris and Gerald K Pickering for their special donations totaling $500 for meals for our teenage members going to Scotland. They wish to insure the youth of the band get good meals while in Scotland for the 10 days.

How the deck is stacked in Scotland for the JPB. Good draws!

Ready for Scotland

The JPB is getting ready for our trip to Scotland.

Our first competition will be at North Berwick on Saturday, August 5. We’ll be posting pictures after the event.

Next will be the Bridge of Allen in Stirlingshire on Sunday, August 6. Once again keep checking to see pictures of the event.

The following week will find us sightseeing, practicing for “The Worlds” and resting.

Thursday, August 10 will find us playing in downtown Glasgow in Piping Live.

Saturday is the big day. We play on Glasgow Green at 11:16am (UK time). The finals will follow that afternoon at 2:00pm (UK).

Keep watching this site fo pictures and reports from Scotland.
